Who looks after your site after launch?
Congratulations! Let’s assume your website is live and it works a treat. Customers can find you and they are impressed. Now the question is: who keeps it that way?
I can make it easy for you. I can continue as site administrator and deal with all the techie stuff, leaving you to focus on running your business. Or we can wrap up the build. I’ll hand over WordPress admin and the Site Tools and let you run everything from here on.
Either way, your site is important to you so it’s worth protecting it against threats. The thing is, plugins and themes, and even WordPress itself, need regular updates. Hackers are out there constantly looking for weaknesses and while you may think you aren’t the big fish they’re looking for, you will be collateral damage in their hunt. There will also be small changes from time to time, like a new phone number, a price update, or adding or removing an email user. So there will always be things to do.
The straightforward path: I keep looking after it.
I stay as administrator of your site and your hosting account. Each month you’ll get a one-page report showing what was updated, any threats detected and dealt with, backup status, and an at-a-glance health check, so you can see at any point that your site is in good hands.
Each month I will:
- Apply WordPress, plugin and theme updates safely (with one-click rollback if anything misbehaves)
- Monitor uptime, SSL certificates, and known vulnerabilities
- Keep daily backups so any restore is a few clicks away
Small edits are included too. Things like changing a phone number or a price, swapping out a photo, fixing a typo, adding or removing an email account. Anything that takes me less than fifteen minutes counts as a small edit.
Larger jobs are quoted separately. By “larger” I mean anything that goes beyond a quick text or image change: rewriting a page, adding a new page, installing a new plugin, restructuring the menu, redesigning a section, or adding a new feature. I’ll always quote in advance so you know what something will cost before I start.
$79 per month.

The other path: full control, on your own.
If you'd rather run your own site, that's fine. I'll hand over WordPress admin access and Site Tools. The site is then yours to run and you will be able to do all your own edits and updates.
Please be aware though, if anything goes wrong and you need my help it will have to be paid for at my hourly rate, or with an upfront quote.
Either way, you own your site.
Whichever option you choose it's your site and your domain. You fully own everything.
The options above are just ways of ensuring your site remains working and healthy.
